This delightful little hen is busily pecking for nibbles. She is rug hooked in a black and white tweed to mimic the distinctive feathers of the barred rock breed. Her beak ,comb and wattle are hand wet felted and her eyes are needle felted in yellow and black. Her wings have been rug hooked seperately, lined, and attached to the body. The sculpture stands 11" high. The hen is approximately 14" long. This rug hooked sculpture is mounted on a wood stained pine board base. Legs are dowels that are glued and drilled into the base and the body frame. Base measures 2" high and 12" long.
